Course Description:
This survey provides an overview of the Old Testament. Study outlines of each book of the Bible are provided for further development by the student.
Course Objectives:
- Explain the difference between versions, translations, and paraphrased editions of the Bible.
- Describe everyday life in Bible times.
- Summarize the chronology of the Bible.
- Create and expand outlines.
- For each book in the Bible state the following: (Author / To whom the book was written / When it was written / Purpose of the book / Key Verse / Life and Ministry Principle)
Course Requirements:
Read entire study guide.
Complete all chapter study questions.
As you complete each chapter you need to go to the Activity Feed and post a comment about something that interested or impacted you as you worked through the lesson. Make sure that you begin your comment with the course name and lesson number. You also need to post comments on two other students recent comments on courses they are currently taking.
Complete writing assignment.
Pass final exam.
Writing Assignment:
Write a 500 word paper discussing at least two of the Course Objectives. This paper must be sent to us (along with your final exam) using the Completed Coursework Upload form.

When you have completed all of the lessons for this course, you will need to download the Answer Sheet for the Final Exam. Print out the answer sheet and use it to record your answers for the final exam. We would like you to scan and return your completed answer sheet to us (along with your written paper) using the Completed Coursework Upload form.
