In chapter nine I learned that God gave His word to accomplish specific purposes. A purpose is a goal or objective. They have learned about thirty-five of them listed in chapter nine.
I have also learned that GOD WORD IS NOT VOID. It must accomplish the purposes for which it exists according to Isaiah 55:11. Here God says that His word will not return void which means that God does not make empty promises.
Furthermore the symbols of the Word. A symbol is something that represents something else. We can see for example the flag of the Republic of Cameroon. From this, I have seen the following symbols in the Bible to describe God’s word:
A Mirror: James 1:23-27
A laver: Ephesians 5:26-27
A Lamp: Psalm 119:105
A Light: Psalm 119: 105, 130; Proverbs 6:23
Rain: Isaiah 55:10-11
Water: Ephesians 5:26
Food: Jeremiah 15:16
A Diet; Hebrew 5:12
A Fire: Jeremiah 23:29, 20:9
A Hammer
A Scalpel
A Sword
Medicine: Psalm 119:25
Seed:
Honey: Psalm 19:10
Gold: Psalm 19:9-10
