I would like to share my lessons learned in chapter 6, which is titled principles of interpretation. I learned that they are there are six different rules for interpreting the Bible which can help me to rightly divide the word of God.
* The rule of divine authority. This means that we accept the Bible as the final authority meaning we believe that ,all the Bible is inspired by God from Genesis to Revelation.
*The Rule of Literal interpretation. This rule made me to learn that, the Bible means exactly what it says and we (me) are supposed to believe all what it says without compromise.
*The Rule of contextual Consideration. I learned here that the Bible she studied in its context, this means that it should be studied in relation to the verses which proceed follow it.i also learn that to study a verse in it context I should always ask myself questions like; who is speaking? What is being said? To whom it is being said? Why was it said? When was it said?
*The Rule of first mention.
* The Rule of repetition. Here I learned that when something is repeated in the description it is for special emphasis, it means a truth is of such special importance that it needs to be repeated. For instance Jesus in (John 3:3-7)
