I will be sharing the lessons I learned from chapter 7 titled Bible background.
Chronological history. Chronological history does when an event occured in the past, chronological mean orderor sequence chronological history organized events of the past in order.
Some of the ways we can easily know the chronological history of the Bible events are:
1-the Bible itself provides the dates of some events
2-Early records of historians provide dates
3- Through archeology which is the study of ancient things, it’s a science which gains knowledge of time past from the study of existing remains of civilization but talking about biblical archaeology is the study of remains found in Bible lands.
Chronological events in the Bible are divided into 12 major periods
*Creation to Abraham 2000BC
*Abraham to Moses
*The exodus
*The conquest of Canaan. This is the period Joshua led Israel into Canaan to possess the land gid had promised
*The judges, this was the time during which God raised up judges to rule the two the people of Israel.
*The last kingdom 1102-982BC
*The two Kingdoms 982-722
*Judah alone 722-587BC
*The captivity 587-538 BC
*The restoration which lasted for 147 years538-391BC
*Life of Christ 5BC -28 AD
*The spread of the gospel 28-100 A.D
