Chapter 5: Leading Like A Servant.
Phil.2.5 – Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had.
Phil.2.6 – Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God.
Phil.2.7 – He made himself nothing; he took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form.
The greatest example of leading like a servant was the lord jesus christ. A servant is one who serves others in humbleness, dedication, and love. Just both taught and modeled servanthood.
Leading like a servant does not mean being a weak leader. It is not to say that leardeship should not be energetic, aggressive and strong against spiritual enermies. The power of servanthood is that it humbles a person to the point that he can be used by God. The cross was the last place on earth anyone would look for a leader, but it became the power of God unto salvation. In the kingdom many things are reversed. We are strong when we are weak, recieves when we give, and live by dying. As a leader, becomes powerful through serving.
