Chapter 4 Before You Begin .
I really thank God so much for this lessons they are quite interesting. I will like to share with us from what I have learned in chapter 4 pricisely on the prerequisites to Bible study.
Prerequisites is something you must do before you can do something else. The Bible is the word of God and different from other books and should also be studied differently. I learned that there is something that you must do before you begin if you are to understand the deep spiritual things of God.
1) you must first know the author of the Bible. I can’t understand God’s word without knowing God. John 8: 47.
The person who has not been born again cannot receive the truth of God’s word. But the natural man recieveth not the things of the spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him . 1 Corinthians 2:14.
The spiritual truth of God’s word will remain hidden until we receive forgiveness of sin.
I also learned about God’s provisions.
From the moment you accept Jesus as your savior and experience the spiritual birth, your mind will begin to understand spiritual truth in God’s word. You will need God’s word for spiritual nourishment. God has provided us with two ways to study his word.
He has given us teachers .
He chooses certain believers as leaders in the church to be teachers of his word.
He has also given us a special teacher which is the holy Spirit. He guide us into all spiritual understanding of God’s word. ……..Shalom
Amazing brother am learning new things from you may God help us as we accept the fact that we have teachers who are believers around us to teach and guide us in this race and allowing the holy spirit who is indeed the greatest teacher in you and me to help us as the Bible says that he will send us a special teacher that will help us understand his word. And one thing I came to understand is when we have sin in us the holy spirit will not be at work in our lives We will just be marking time on one sport until we ask for forgiveness and asked him to help us from there we will begin to see things that has been hidden and we knew not of thanks so much brother
More grace my brother that’s awesome. Indeed the Holy Spirit is our helper and teacher He help interpret deep Spiritual Truth that even Human teacher Can not interpret or even explain. The Holy Spirit teaches our Human God’s given teacher helping and keeping them effective .
