Discussion question.
In what ways has God demonstrated his love to you through believers with the gift of encouragement, hospitality, mercy or sheepherding? How did you feel about that? What did you do in response?
God as always been making manifest his love in my life especially in the area of this three gift .
Firstly in the case of encouragement God demonstrate his love by providing the encourager and giving him the ability to notice when am weghed down by burden and serious pain. I experience that when I was accused of a theft case in in a construction company in town it wasn’t an easy situation but God still provided me a bananas which of was my mom.
Though many tribulations the Bible still tell me fear not for I am with you ….
All of her encouragement brought joy and a greater relief in my life.
In the case of hospitality I have experience God demonstrate his love to me In many cases which causes me to conclude that hospitality is a means to display the gospel by using your home for the good of others. I experienced this when I went to work in a certain village in the west region of Cameroon call Basamba. I went there infact I had no place to sleep not to talk of a bed to sleep on but God in his aburdant of love provided me with a woman who took me home. She gave me a good bed to sleep and food to eat in the few months that I had there. Infact it was amazing ..
In the case of mercy God has always demonstrated his love to me through the gift of mercy through others in the sense that when am down, I must have a person who is able to show compassion at a deeper level. Mostly in the case of sickness and financial needs and the person always come alongside and shares with me in pains and tribulations. Am always happy to have this persons by me.
My response to all this is that, I always express gratitude to God. And all glory to him for giving us this gift as a means of service to the church and in our individual lives.
Shalom.
So good to see how faithful God has been through the various experiences of your life. May He strengthen you as you study to serve him better and to become a blessing to others.
