CONNECTING
In Christianity today counselors have to be careful about how they are helping the counselees. They should not reprove, retreat or refer people because they see their problems as an issue of their stubborn will or psychological damage. No counselor should escape situations by saying “i will pray for you” because this doesn’t help people at all. It is important to note that a counselor should see a presenting problem as a disconnected soul. This will enable him to identify and nourish the counselees new life in Christ which in turn will help them solve their problems. This then makes it possible to connect with them. Thus spiritual connection is essential for us to help one another.
