RECAPPING AND STRENGTHENING WHAT WE’VE LEARNED

We learned about listening and what it can do. what happens when a counselor listens attentively such as;
– getting the meaning of the story,
– insights ( the counselor starts to see things that they can’t see through the help of God the biblical knowledge to get a proper context.
– Paying attention to what is going on when there is silence.

When the counselor has to be the main speaker;
– When its difficult for people to grasp the grace of God
– Giving the new metaphors to help them think

Beneficial approaches in counseling such as normalizing, crystalizing, reframing, challenging and comforting and how to give advice.
