I am so glad to join you all and studying from the creative Bible study methods and am thanking God Almighty for teaching me alot from this book and opening my eyes to see and be able to leave on the words of God I will like to share what I have learned from chapter 1. I have learned that ” All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction for instruction in righteousness” 2Timothy 3:16 which is the main main purpose of the Bible and that the word Bible means the book and the word scripture means writing. God inspired the words and uses 40 Men in to write down his words and they wrote over a period of 1500years and this men were all guided by God. The Bible is divided into 2 major sections which are; the Old and the New Testament and word Testament means covenant where it is an agreement. The Bible bis divided into 66 books where the Old Testament is made up of 39 books and the New Testament is made up of 27 books making it 66 books. I have also learned that the unity of the Bible is made up of 2 things which are,
    * The Bible is United in content which means that though many writers wrote the Bible that was inspired by God they did not contradict one another for any reason and it was so because God was the only author.
    * The Bible is United in theme, this means that the Bible is United in theme from the beginning to the end were the bible reveals God special purpose and it as well reveals the mystery of God’s plan which is the unifying theme in the Bible.
The Diversity of the Bible means that the Bible has variety where by it records different ways in which God dealt with people and the different ways in which they responded to him. And that the Old Testament is divided into Four major groups which are; The Law, History, Poetry and Prophecy and on this books of prophecy it is divided into Major and Minor prophetical books and it does not mean that one is more important than the other but the different is that the Major prophets are longer books than the Minor prophets. And the New Testament is divided into Four groups which are; Gospel, History, Letters and Prophecy.
