Chapter 11: Book. Study

A book study is a synthetic Bible study meaning that it a whole study of the book to know it’s content. This helps in a proper interpretation of the chapters, paragraphs, verses in its real context.
There are three steps to do a book study.
1- have an initial survey of the entire book and in so doing identify:
* The Theme
* The author
* The purpose
* To whom it’s written.
* The geographical setting
* The basic life or ministry principle.
From this you can then create a book study chart as you reread the book and then create titles for each book, which reflect the chapter.You can then select the key verse-, list names of major characters, record key words etc
The final stage is the Book outline and here you create an outline which might include
– the book,the theme, author to whom, purpose, key words ,keyverse,characters and what you’ve gained that can improve your life and ministry.
