Chapter 19:The Study of Bible Poetry
This involves the study of books like Job, psalms,proverbs, ecclesiastics, songs of Solomon.
Note that, these books shows a progression of life.
– the book of Job describes death to old self,psalms shows new life in God, proverbs introduces is to God’s school of wisdom, Ecclesiastics talks of vanity in pursuing life in earth without God, Songs of Solomon speaks of the pursuit of meaningful life in a relationship with Christ.
To study these books, there are four parallels identified
– synonymes
-anthithetic
– synthetic and emblematic parrellism.
To understand these truths in the bible we can use forms to understand the content as expressed in:-
– identical restatement of truths ( synonyme parrallism )
– opposite statements of thesame truth( antithetic parallelism)
– building blocks of truth( synthetic parrellism)
– Emblems which illustrates God’s truth in your mind ( emblematic parrellism)

We have three types of poetry:
– Epic Poetry which is narrative
– Dramatic poetry which presents the word of God as well F it were on stage with God and satan making a project on an innocent man,
Lyric poetry which is sung in different parts of the Bible.
