Chapter 14: Entering the Combat Zone: Battling the world, the flesh and the devil.
Satan has a crafty but very organized strategy to overcome Christians. His base is the world where he controls governments, institutions and individuals for his main preoccupation is to oppose God’s plans for his people and fight their worship of God .He fights the truth insn by soiling his mind, blinding him from understanding the gospel.He spreads false doctrines and raises false prophets. He poisons the minds of individuals against God, solving their spirits with iñevil and immoral thoughts, he instills persecution of the saints and crests division. he uses the word to get to the flesh through pornography, evil music, books, cults and through the flesh he gets into your soul , sport and emotions. So it’s a combined work of the world, satan, the flesh and his evil spirits to destroy God’s agenda for the church today.
To counteract this, a believer should have a counter strategy as prescribed by the word of God.
* Offer your lives as living sacrifices
* Have the mind of Christ
* Develope proper attitude towards your flesh
* Realize that you shouldn’t live in bondage
*Train your flesh to obey God’s words
* Put off the old man and put the flesh to death
*Walk in the spirit
*Let your spirit be bonded to the holy spirit
*Develop the fruits of the spirit
*Don’t live in condemnation.
To over come the world:
– develope a proper attitude towards the world
– recognize you are not in bondage to the world
– guard against the world
– Recognize that you can overcome the world
– understand your mission in the world.
