Chapter 8: POWER PRINCIPLES 2: THe power of the Holy Ghost.
Before Jesus went to heaven, he asked his disciples not to leave Jerusalem untill the Holy spirit came upon them to help them work, that is witness to the world.
The holy spirit after indwelling the believer, unites him to God, interceeds for him, guides him, imparts love of Christ in him, reveals biblical truths to him,comforts him,conforms him to the image of Christ, inspires, quickens,sanctifiés,changes him,convicts him of sin,giving assurance of salvation,gives him liberty,speaks through him, demonstrates power, and strengthens him.
The greatest purpose of the Holy Ghost is to reveal the power in Jesus through the endument or baptism of the Holy ghost for signs and wonders manifested in speaking in different tongues helping us to pray, to be efified.interceed,praise, fulfilment and as a sign to unbelievers.
For this purpose the present of the holy ghost activates two giftss in our lives- special gifts, serving gifts. These are also followed by the fruits of the Holy Ghost.
To have the baptism of the holy ghost;
Repent from your sin, desire it, receive it, realize it’s a gift, yield to God,request the prayers of others by the laying of hands
