Chapter 11: Stunted growth
Spiritual growth becomes stunted when we lack spiritual food, a spiritual vision, shallow growth, lack of pruning, failure to identify responsive areas,if the ministry is not related to people culturally , when the vision is not evangelistic, when we harbour unconfessed sin, when we have unresolved personal problems which block our walk with God, when a church has unqualified leadership, when there’s resistance to the gospel, when they’re communication problems, when there’s cultural, geographic, denominational séparation, when church members become spectators instead of participants, when converts Don’t become disciples, when leaders are controlled by fear rather than faith, when there’s emphasis on work rather than worship, when we are focused on serving society rather than souls, when there’s unbelief, when there’s quantiry interest than quality worship, when individuals are lost in the crowd , when church members form cliques which encourage division , when the organisation is alive while the organism dies, where love is absent and finally when there’s lack of resources.
